Background
I’m from a small village in North-Western Germany. I’ve always been a nut for geography and exploring other countries since I was a little kid. Especially Japan and Eastern Asia – they’ve always been my passion!
After finishing college, nothing was holding me back, so I left on a working holiday visa for a year in Australia and never really returned. The last ten years have been a colourful mix of travelling and working in different locations around the world. I was barkeeping in Spain; I spent five years working in IT in Ireland, then I moved to Canada to work as receptionist for a whale watching company. Then I continued to New Zealand for a similar role with a dolphin swimming company in Kaikoura. After all this, I returned to Germany for a while, where I worked for a tour operator in Munich as a specialist for Northern Asia.
I joined Travel Nation in 2016 and I love sharing my travel passion to help other people realise their own world explorations.
